This blog is edited by Geoffrey Parnass, a corporate transaction attorney based in New York City. Geoffrey provides M&A, transaction and general counsel services to entrepreneurs, management teams, private equity sponsors, and public and private companies. Previously, Geoffrey worked as Vice President and General Counsel of Hunter Douglas Inc., a manufacturer of home furnishing products. Before that, he was associated with the corporate law departments of Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson LLP and Dewey Ballantine LLP in New York.

Geoffrey has structured and documented a wide variety of marketing and new venture undertakings for manufacturing and service companies. Geoffrey also provides counsel in connection with private placements and the issuance of securities under Regulation D.
Geoffrey holds a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he was the Notes Editor of the Law Review, and an LL.M. in corporate law from Yale Law School. He received a B.A. from Vassar College in Philosophy where he graduated with honors. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
